Switch off the vehicle, turn on the hazard lights, and keep everyone off the road and away from the accident scene.

Check for injuries
Notify Police or emergency services if anyone has been injured.

Stay calm
Do not make rash decisions and do not admit guilt at the scene.

Exchange details
Record the other party registration number, name, contact details and insurance company details.

Record witnesses and Police details
Obtain contact details from any witnesses and the incident reference number if Police attend.

Do not drive an unsafe vehicle
Do not drive the vehicle if it is not roadworthy.

Keep towing details
If the vehicle is towed, get the towing company contact details and provide them with your insurance company details.

Lodge your insurance claim
Lodge a claim with your insurance company. Insurance repairs cannot begin until the claim has been accepted and allocated by your insurer.

Give your insurer the full accident details
Supply your insurer with the accident information, the other party details and the Police incident number where applicable.

Nominate Advanced Panel & Paint
If the vehicle is roadworthy, bring it to our Opawa workshop. If it needs towing, advise your insurer or tow truck driver that you would like it repaired by Advanced Panel & Paint.

We assess the damage
Once the vehicle is delivered to us, we assess the damage and provide an estimate of the likely repair time and repair cost.

We handle the process from here
Once we receive the vehicle, we coordinate the repair process and work with your insurer where applicable.

All work by Advanced Panel & Paint is guaranteed, giving you reassurance that the vehicle will be restored to its original condition.

We contact you when it is ready
You will be contacted as soon as your vehicle has been repaired, inspected, cleaned and is ready to pick up.
